Tzu Cancer Therapeutics is a brand-new startup named after the Chinese Philosopher and Warrior Sun Tzu, who wrote in The Art of War 2,500 years ago that knowing your enemy well ensures victory in a hundred battles. The new era of personalized oncology hinges on the necessity for a deep characterization of the tumor. Tzu is an innovative biotechnology company focused on developing advanced solutions to combat cancer by performing deep analysis of the DNA and RNA of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs), which can be isolated from the blood of cancer patients using novel technologies.

CTCs are responsible for causing metastases, and usually patients are not killed by the primary tumor but by the metastases, making these CTCs indeed ‘the enemy’.

Our goal is to improve patient survival rates by tailoring therapies to the specific characteristics of their cancer and advancing next-generation therapeutics.
